Image Navigation
Fusion features an intuitive set of controls to navigate the image. Functions available will depend on the image display mode. Navigation of the specimen using the Remote Panel controls is described in the topic Specimen Navigation.
Using the Image Zoom Functions
Zoom allows you to scale the image to a particular zoom factor (with 100% being 1 image pixel mapped to 1 screen pixel) or "Fit" so the image always occupies the the image area. The Zoom function can be accessed through the bar along the bottom of the Image Viewer Panel.
The Zoom can also be used with the following mouse and keyboard actions:
Action | Function |
---|---|
Roll Mouse Wheel | Zoom in and out |
Hold Left Mouse Button + Click Right Mouse Button | Fit to screen |
Shift + Hold Right Mouse Button + Move Mouse Up and Down | Zoom in and out |
Note: Zoom is not supported in split channel mode.
Pan an Image
When an image has a greater zoom level than 'Fit' it is possible to pan the image:
Action | Function |
---|---|
Hold Left Mouse Button + Move Mouse (2D image modes) | Pan on image in direction of mouse movement |
Hold Right Mouse Button + Move Mouse (3D image modes) | Pan on image in direction of mouse movement |
Hold Left Mouse Button + Click Right Mouse Button | Centre and fit Image to window |
Rotating an Image
3D images (3D MIP and 3D Blend modes only) can be rotated:
Action | Function |
---|---|
Hold Left Mouse Button + Move Mouse | Rotate image in direction of mouse movement |
Hold Left Mouse Button + Click Right Mouse Button | Reset the rotation to its original position |
Note: If you click and release the left mouse button while moving the mouse, the image will continue to rotate in that direction. If you click the left mouse button and hold until you stop moving the mouse the image will lock in the new position.
